Blue Ridge Granite

Tucked in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains stands a monolithic stone, millions of years in the making. Formed from
the molten heart of the earth and cooled slowly over time, this unique off-white granite rock has been prized for centuries
for its color and durability.
For over fifty years, pool plasterers have used a crushed marble and white cement to achieve the optimal traditional smooth
surface. More recently, exposed colored quartz and pebble plasters have provided increased durability however; they do not
capture the traditional smooth marble-stone finish. This has proved challenging to pool designers trying to capture new
looks while maintaining the old smooth stone feel.
At Pyramid Cement Products, we search for the world’s most durable aggregates that allow us to create spectacular pool
plaster finishes. When polished, our Blue Ridge Granite is smooth and highly stain resistant, yet has the luster and silken
finish of classical pools.
